Fitness Testing
Great Britain is currently the top non-snow nation on the international rankings. What we lack in snow, we have in strength and conditioning expertise, by using knowledge gleaned from other sports such as rowing and cycling.
Running is a quick and easy fitness test to do. For international team testing, 3km is used, and we will measure this from time to time - but any athletes not coming to Hyde Park on a Saturday morning are encouraged to take part in their local parkrun as a training piece. This is a fun 5km at parks across the country.
Train with Me?
I want to create a training group to give me company in my training! I prefer training with people, particularly the harder/faster pieces and hill sessions - therefore if you can already ski, and want to join me for workouts, then please let me know. Or I'll coach you till you get fast enough! We can use different speeds of skis to even up the speed of men or women and experienced skiers with newer athletes.
