Juniors

I'm really keen to get more juniors involved in the sport! There are loads of ways of getting started, and you can do it at almost any age. We can support anything, from young children taking their first shaky steps on rollerskis, all the way up to juniors getting into the British Nordic Development Squad to progress their skiing up to international standards. I also promote family involvement, and family sessions rather than exclusive junior sessions. Having extra adults around helps me to do more with your children, and it gives you a chance to enjoy the set as well, instead of just being a glorified taxi driver for your children - but be warned, they tend to be more fearless than adults, and will often get up and moving quicker then you!

Junior Development Programme

The Junior Development Programme (JDP) is aimed at improving Junior SkiING as well as Junior SkiERS, so we'll work to improve any child's skiing, whatever level they are at, and whatever goal they may have in the sport. We get together once or twice per month, partly for some social fun, and partly to provide access to affordable excellent coaching!

Mini-Skiers Meet-Ups

Rollerskiing is a great challenge for young children, whether they take the sport up fully, do it a bit to get the strength and balance needed for an alpine ski holiday, or just want a new challenge to try out. We will be having Mini-Skiers Meet-Ups for this, where children (and their parents) can give it a go.

British Nordic Development Squad

For skiers who aspire to race internationally, the British Nordic Development Squad is there to assist in athlete development. I am one of the coaches who will helps with this process, and I can give you guidance about the squad, and what is required to join it. I'm also keen to help the BNDS with their fundraising goals, so if you'd like to support the squad, then please let's talk.

You can read more about it on the British Nordic website and the Facebook page.

Schools

We also work with a number of schools, to offer rollerskiing on their campus or playground. The equipment is easily portable, meaning that we can bring it to you and your pupils, rather than you needing to transport them away from school. It's a great challenge as an end-of term treat, having a day start with basic rollerski lessons, and ending with some fun competitions. We can also come and deliver a beginners rollerski course over the 6 weeks of half a term, meaning that your pupils can start this awesome sport in familiar surroundings. We are also looking for more schools to host Satellite Clubs, meaning that we can spread the Thames Valley Club further.
